My well.  It runs dry.

It’s a scary thought to have but it’s the one I’ve had for a few months.

I kept thinking, “Where is my inspiration, God?  Why don’t I feel Your presence?  You want me to help these women who have so faithfully come to this blog seeking encouragement, seeking you.  Where are you?”

“My child, I never left.  You did.”

And there’s goes the breath being knocked right out of me!  Why?  Because He is so right!

I had been waiting on Him, and He was always there waiting for me!  Waiting for me to come to Him so that He could fill my well again!

I have been struggling with what to write for over a month.  Each Wednesday that has come has brought me some guilt because I let it pass without a word. (If you have been following my blog, I started faithfully posting every Wednesday several months ago but have not posted since the middle of July until today.)

Once again, I had begun to let my circumstances define me.  I had begun to listen to the lies the enemy wants us to hear.

Just like a lot of other mommas, I thrive on the busyness of life.  The running here and there, the being in charge of this and that, and getting it all done in the knick of time is what makes me happy! Sound familiar to anyone else??

When there is nothing to do, I literally do nothing and that has been my mindset since my season of busyness has ended.  I sit in my PJ’s and watch Netflix.  Seriously!  My girls have actually called me and told me to get off the couch, turn off the TV, and read a book, or go to dinner with a friend, or something! How dare they? LOL

But my God is always right on time and He always gets through to me.

I have been blessed with some great conversations lately with some great women of God.  Each one of them has poured into my spiritual well.  Each one has prayed for me.  Their texts of encouragement, their phone calls, their invites have put a smile on my face.  I hear the whispers of God through them.  Some of them are familiar faces and some are new but all have been used in a mighty way and I am so thankful that they have listened to the Spirit direct them my way.

I have read my Bible more, I have prayed more, and I have eagerly taken it all in desperate to follow Him, desperate to seek His will for my life.

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” Psalm 27:8 (NLT)

I have signed up for the fall Bible Study at my church with Tanya Magnus and I have registered for Priscilla Shirer’s Awaken Gathering and I am so excited to see what the Lord will do through these mighty women of God.

And my well overflows again.

The Lord will always lead you. He will meet the needs of your soul in the dry times and give strength to your body. You will be like a garden that has enough water, like a well of water that never dries up. Isaiah 58:11 (NLV)

I want to encourage you today to spend some time alone with God. Let Him fill you up!  Let Him encourage you, love on you, strengthen you, and renew you!
