My Sweet Baby Girls, 

I am truly blessed by God to have been chosen to be your Mom.  There has never been a day when I haven’t thanked Him for that honor.  There has never been a day that I wasn’t amazed by the two of you.  You have both endured major losses at a young age and your bravery through it all has always amazed me.  Because of those losses, we know that each day is not guaranteed and I want you to always have a place you can go to hear my voice when you need it so this post is for you.  No matter where you are in your life, remember these things:

ALWAYS BE KIND

You never know what kind of day someone is having.  You never know what they are going through.  A smile, a hug, a kind word goes a long way to cheer someone up.  There were days that a simple text from someone kept me going.  The world is already so full of darkness. Be a light to everyone you meet. Share your joy and your smile with others.  It truly is contagious!  

REMEMBER HARD NEVER MEANS IMPOSSIBLE

I know you will face things that make you want to give up but don’t!  You can do it!  Keep going!  You’ve already come so far and I promise you that whatever it is, IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE!  The Lord didn’t bring you this far to abandon you now.  You’ve got this!  One of the reasons I run even though I am in pain is to show you that HARD NEVER MEANS IMPOSSIBLE!  There were races where I had to stop, take my socks and shoes off, and rub feeling back into my toes or massage the balls of my feet and then I got up and kept running, even walking at times until I got to that finish line.  I never ran a race I didn’t finish.  I may have been slow and I may have been in tremendous pain but I never gave in to it.  I kept going for so many reasons but especially for the two of you!  Run your race girls!  Run it until you get to the finish line!

NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS

You both deserve the world and so much more.  You are smart and beautiful and worthy.  You are loved by so many. Never let anyone make you feel any less. You are a child of God and perfect in His eyes and in mine.  You can accomplish anything you set your minds to so always dream big and go for it!  Hold on to the things that make you happy but most importantly hold onto the people that make you happy.  I’ve always been amazed at the things you’ve both accomplished.  I believe in you and want only the very best for you both!  NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS!

ALWAYS BE YOURSELF

There is no one else better to be!  Be bold.  Be silly.  Be strong.  Be confident.  Be independent and intelligent.  Be brave and fierce.  Be real, in a world full of fake. Do not let others define who you are.  There will be those that will try to change you. They will try to take away your self-confidence. Don’t let them! Your identity is in Christ alone. Be who He created you to be!  He made you extraordinary! You will make mistakes and that’s okay.  No one is perfect!  Learn from them and keep moving forward!  

LOVE HARD AND FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN

We know all too well how short life can be.  If you find someone worth loving then love them hard and for as long as you can.  We aren’t promised tomorrow so love them every day like it’s the last day you have together.  It will be hard some days and it will take sacrifice but it will always be worth it.  Every person that comes into your life is there for a reason.  Some will come to stay and some will be just for a season.  Those that leave, let them leave.  Take what you learned from them and be thankful that it happened.  My sweet girls, those that stay, love them well and let them love you!  You are worth loving!  I promise you that!  

FACE YOUR BATTLES FROM A STANCE OF VICTORY

 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 15:57

Remember you are not alone.  The Lord will fight for you!  Start each day claiming God’s armor as your protection.  You fight from a position of Victory and not Failure.  On the days it feels like what you face is more than you can handle, remember that it is never more than He can handle!  On the days you don’t want to get out of bed, get up anyway!  Take that first step and trust that God’s got you!  Remember He goes before you and paves the way!

STAND FIRM IN YOUR FAITH

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.  1 Corinthians 15:58

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.  Ephesians 6:11

A little bit of faith goes a long way.  I hope that I’ve set a good example for you on what it means to stand strong in your faith.  My faith in God is what has always seen me through.  Even in the midst of the storms, I always had faith that God would see me through to the other side.  I always had faith that He would make all things work together for my good.  He will do the same for you! Start your day with Him so that you are prepared for anything that comes your way!  Your FAITH is what makes things possible!

TRUST GOD IN ALL THINGS

He has a plan for you both and it is always for your good.  There will be days that it doesn’t seem like it.  Believe me I know!  There will be days you want to shout at Him and cry!  There will be days that just seem so unfair.  He knows the bigger picture.  He can see what you cannot see.  Talk to Him daily.  Stay in His presence and watch Him work in your lives.  He will always go exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever dream or think (Ephesians 3:20).  His way is the best way and the only way to live a blessed and enriched life.  Let Him lead you.  Learn to Be Still and know Him!  He will never lead you down the wrong path.  He is good.  He is truth. He is Sovereign and He is all you ever need!

REMEMBER THAT I LOVE YOU ALWAYS

You both have always been my greatest joy on earth and my biggest blessings. I have loved every minute of watching you grow into beautiful, strong, young ladies! You have become my best friends.  You’ve been there for me when I needed you most and I will be forever grateful!  Remember to be there for each other!  Love each other and hold onto each other because no one will have your back like your sister does! Don’t forget to have fun and go on vacations every year! Make memories that last a life time! I am so proud of you both and I believe in you.  There is nothing you could do to take away the love I have for you! Stay true to yourself and to the Lord and you can never go wrong!
